As an integral member of the onsite project team, the Senior Project Manager will steer complex projects from concept to completion - ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest degree of safety and quality standards. The Senior Project Manager's leadership will not only shape the physical project, but also serve as a mentor in the development and training of the team members assigned to the project. They will be required to maintain a thorough big picture' understanding of the project, have the ability to recognize and prioritize actionable tasks, recognize and mitigate project risk, and effectively delegate duties to streamline team members' focus. With our core value of Relationships at the forefront, the Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary interface with key stakeholders on projects, including the client representatives, design team representatives, and trade partners. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager is expected to foster Relationships internally by working collaboratively with other company departments to ensure comprehensive processes are followed throughout the project life cycle, while working toward successful project completion.

The Role:

This position will serve as the project lead of an existing team working on a complex, large-scale state funded project that is currently in progress in Macomb, IL (35% completion). The successful candidate will quickly integrate into the existing team, and after completion of an onboarding period (approx. 60-90 days), will assume the full responsibility for team leadership. At that time, all financial, schedule, safety, and quality performance responsibilities will be assumed by the Senior Project Manager. Project completion is slated for December 2025.

Key Functions:

Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative environment where excellence in execution can flourish. Ensure clear communication and provide direction and support to project team members.

Excellence in Execution: Utilize the latest technology with expectations of finding efficiencies to improve communication, document control, and enhance quality, aimed at providing Excellence in all processes.

Budget Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the project. Monitor project budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure financial health.

Risk Management/Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact for clients, design teams, trade partners, suppliers, and other external stakeholders, Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Quality Control: Ensure all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards, complying with all regulations and surpassing client and design team expectations.

Reporting: Regularly report on project status to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing updates on milestones, performance, and challenges.

Qualifications:

• (15+) years' experience in construction project management, with successive leadership roles, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects over $75M.
• Project experience across multiple delivery methods, to include Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build and CM@R.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, professionalism, and ability to work with others, including sense of selflessness, humility, social and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage a team and stakeholder groups with a diverse range of construction experience.
• Thorough understanding of design and construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiencies in project management software and tools, including:
• AutoDesk Suite
• Phoenix Scheduling Software
• BlueBeam Revu/Studio
• Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.

Certifications/Licensures:

• OSHA 10 Hour Training Certification
• Preferred: LEED, PMP, USACE CQM, EIT, PE, or AIA
